CATACLYSM

CATACLYSM

In the past
I would
awake
To elated voices
Of my family
Gathered at breakfast.
Proudly walk
In the midst
Of Ancient scented trees
in Illustrious nature
So blessed.
Observe
Tall stems of wheat
Waving in the wind
Enchanting
in Visual embrace.

Today, I
Arouse to grey,
Forlorn sky
defeated ,
thrust to loneliness
with forgone memories
in depot of shadows.
Embroil through
desolated gardens,
a lurid chemical bed,
in torrid odour
of desiccated soil
within
mother nature’s tomb…

In this "liberated" country
Where evil descended
In foreign avarice
Cloaked as
democracy
